TAKES NOTE of the recommendations of the Executive Council for the consideration and adoption of the Draft Statute of the African Union Commission on International Law (AUCIL); 2. ADOPTS the Statute of the African Union Commission on International Law; 3. REQUESTS the Commission to take all the necessary measures so as to ensure that the first members of the Commission on International Law are elected in July 2009, to facilitate early operationalisation of AUCIL.
