Council also takes note of the authorization given by the Security Council to this operation, through resolution 2134 (2014) of 28 January 2014. Council welcomes the consultations between the AU and the EU on the areas where MISCA needs support and the manner in which the European operation should be configured to enable it effectively support MISCA in the fulfillment of its mandate, and requests the Commission to submit regular updates on the matter; 16. Welcomes the convening in Brussels, on 20 January 2014, of a high-level conference on the humanitarian situation in the CAR, and stresses the need for the speedy concretization of the commitments made. Council appeals to the international community to support the efforts of the neighboring countries which host Central African refugees; 17. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
