Assembly/AU/Dec.6 (II) Page 1 DECISION ON MADAGASCAR The Assembly: 1. RECALLS the Decision of the Central Organ meeting at its Ordinary Session at the level of Heads of State and Government, in Addis Ababa on 3 February 2003, recommending the recognition of Mr. Marc Ravalomanana as the legitimate President of Madagascar; 2. ENDORSES this recommendation and DECIDES that Madagascar should resume its seat within the African Union; 3. ENCOURAGES the Government of Madagascar to continue its policy of national reconciliation.
