PSC/PR/BR.1(CDXIII) Page 2 opportunity of the Donors’ Conference to be held in Addis Ababa, on 1 February 2014, in conformity with the relevant provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2127 (2013), to contribute to the financing of MISCA. Council also reiterated its appreciation to AU partners that were already lending support to MISCA, namely the United States, France and the EU and noted with satisfaction the pledge made by Japan. Council reiterated its appeal to the other AU partners to participate in the Donors’ Conference and contribute to the financing of MISCA. Council stressed the need to ensure that all international efforts are directed towards the strengthening of MISCA and the mobilisation of the necessary resources to enable it to effectively fulfill its mandate and pave the way for the possible deployment of a UN peacekeeping operation, in accordance with the relevant provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2127 (2013). In this regard, Council urged all the international actors concerned to closely consult the AU and the region about their initiatives to ensure the necessary harmonisation and enhance effectiveness of African efforts in the CAR.
