D Decides  furth her,  within  the  framew work  of  the e  mandate  outlined  in  paragraph  5  above an nd in line wiith the Concclusions of the Bangui reegional ministerial meeting, that th he  RCI‐LRA sshall, in partticular, carryy out the following tasks:    i. initiate an nd coordinatte all politicaal and strate egic activities relating to o the LRA witth  the affectted countries and other stakeholderrs,    ii. facilitate  operationall  coordinatio on  amongstt  the  affecteed  countriess  in  the  figh ht  he LRA,  against th   iii. support ccapacity build ding for the national units engaged in operation ns against th he  LRA  and,  in  this  reggard,  interacct  with  the  internation nal  partners  for  them  to  t oordinated ssupport to th he affected ccountries,  provide tiimely and co   iv. encourage and facilittate joint pattrols at the  borders of tthe affected countries, aas  haring of info ormation,  well as sh   v. encourage the improvement of ccommunications in the aareas affecteed by the LR RA  activities,  particularly  through mobile  teleephones,  radio  coveragge  and  bassic  infrastruccture repair//construction,    vi. facilitate  effective  pssychological  operationss  to  encouraage  defectio ons  from  th he  mentation  off  strategies  for demobil f ization  and  reintegratio on  LRA,  and  the  implem of ex‐com mbatants into o their comm munities of o origin,    vii. assist  witth  the  mob bilization  off  adequate  and  coordinated  supp port  for    th he  affected p populations and other groups in nee ed,    viii. contribute  to  the  improvement  and  institutional i isation  of  civil‐militarry  coordinattion, includin ng the proviision, upon  request, of escorts for  humanitariaan  convoys,    contribute  to  the  mobilization  o of  support  for  speedy  recovery,  as  a well  as  fo or  A, and  rehabilitaation efforts in the areass affected byy the activitiees of the LRA ix.   x. ensure  the  t mainstreeaming  of  th he  civilian  protection  p in n  all  militaryy  and  securitty  initiative es aimed at rresolving thee LRA probleem;    7.
