Assembly/AU/3(XXIX) The Assembly, Within the framework of the implementation of the theme of the year 2017 and pursuant to Decision EX.CL/Dec.921(XXIX) of July 2016, 1. ENDORSES the establishment of the African Youth Fund; 2. REQUESTS the Commission to present, at the January 2018 session of the Assembly, all the instruments for the management of the Fund, in accordance with the feasibility study of the Conference of African Ministers in charge of Youth (July 2008); 3. AUTHORIZES, pending the presentation of the said instrument, the allocation to the African Youth Fund of an amount at least equal to 1% of the Programme Budget of the African Union Commission; 4. REQUESTS the Commission to enlist the support of all partners of the African Union for the African Youth Fund.
