EXPRESSES its appreciation for the proposal of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to establish an African Defence Council; 2. TAKES NOTE of the importance of the functions of the African Defence Council in predicting possible external threats to the countries and peoples of the continent and alerting them to such threats; 3. DECIDES to include the functions of the African Defence Council into the African Union Authority.
