AHG/Res. 133 (XX) 1. DECIDES to establish a Special Emergency Assistance Fund for drought and famine in Africa; 2. CALLS UPON the Member States, other developing countries and the developed countries to contribute generously to the Fund; 3. RECORDS with deep appreciation the initial contributions of US$10 million each to the Fund by Algeria and Libya; 4. CALLS UPON the agencies and operational programmes of the United Nations System to participate actively in the obtainment of the objectives of the Fund; 5. REQUESTS the OAU Secretary-General to make the necessary contacts for the purpose and submit a report on the progress made to the next Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
