RESOLUTION
The Assembly of Heads of State and Government meeting in its Second Ordinary
Session in Accra, Ghana, from 21 to 25 October 1965,
Deeply concerned over the international situation characterized by an
aggravation of conflicts the repercussions of which constitute a serious threat to
international peace and security,
Anxious to contribute towards an atmosphere of peace and co-operation on the
basis of equity and justice,
1. ADDRESSES an urgent appeal to all countries involved in such conflicts to
resort to peaceful means in order to solve their differences on the basis of the
general principles of the Charter of the United Nations,
2. REQUESTS all nations to do everything possible to help restore peace in all
regions where it is threatened.
