RESOLUTION IN THE CREATION OF A SUB-REGIONAL OFFICE
OF THE LIBERATION COMMITTEE FOR THE SO-CALLED
FRENCH SOMALILAND (DJIBOUTI)
The Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African
Unity, meeting in its Twelfth Ordinary Session from 28 July to 1st August 1975 in Kampala,
Having considered the Report of the Twenty-fifth Ordinary Session of the Council
of Ministers and its recommendations on the creation of a sub-regional office of the Coordinating Committee for the Liberation of Africa, with a view to assisting the struggle for
liberation of the people of the so-called French Somaliland (Djibouti),
Having taken cognizance of the Report of the Twenty-fifth Session of the Coordinating Committee for the Liberation of Africa, especially in its paragraph 83,
Having heard the Statements by Representatives of the Democratic Republic of
Somalia and Ethiopia:
Seeking to obtain the fullest possible information to serve as a basis for an objective
decision on this matter,
1. REQUESTS the Liberation Committee to continue its studies on the basis of the
recommendations formulated in paragraph 83 of its report and to submit
concrete proposals to the OAU Council of Ministers.
