Expresses its gratitude to the international community, particularly the United Nations and its specialized agencies and other multilateral and bilateral donors, for the assistance rendered thus far towards the implementation of the CPA and the postconflict reconstruction of the Sudan; 7. Stresses the need for continued and increased support by the international community, including ensuring that the pledges made during the Oslo donors conference of 2005 and in other forums are fully honored in line with the Paris Principles on Aid Effectiveness, as well as extending debt relief and concessional aid to the Sudan, facilitating the flow of foreign direct investment and supporting poverty reduction programmes; 8. Requests the Commission to take all the necessary steps to fully support the implementation of the CPA, including through the appointment of a new Special Envoy and the opening of an appropriately staffed African Union Liaison Office in Khartoum, with an office in Juba; 9. Welcomes the appointment by the Chairperson of IGAD of former President Daniel arap Moi as Special Envoy for the CPA, in order to sustain and enhance efforts towards the full and timely implementation of the Agreement; 10. Decides to review on a regular basis the status of implementation of the CPA.
