Requests the Chairperson of the Commission to review, with the United Nations, the partnership that should be put in place by the two organisations to assist and support the Executive Secretariat to implement the Pact in compliance with the principle of ownership of the process by the region; 8. Authorises the Chairperson of the Commission to end the activities of the Liaison Office for the Great Lakes Region in Nairobi and to strengthen the AU Bujumbura Bureau, to enable it to provide support to the Executive Secretariat of the Conference during the initial phase. The Council further requests the Chairperson of the Commission to continue to ensure regular follow-up of the whole process in general and the implementation of the Pact in particular; 9. Thanks the Kenyan authorities for the facilities they provided to the Commission for its Liaison Office for the Great Lakes Region during the preparatory phase of the Summit in Nairobi;
