TAKES NOTE of the presentation made by President Aboudoulaye WADE of Senegal on the establishment of a “Council on the Future of the Union”; 2. CONGRATULATES President Aboudoulaye WADE on this initiative; 3. APPROVES the principle of the establishment of such a Council; 4. MANDATES the Chairperson of the Commission to work out the modalities for the implementation of this initiative and submit to its next session proposals regarding the status, mandate, functioning and composition of this Council.
