Assembly/AU/Dec.53 (III) Rev.1 DECISION ON THE PERIODICITY OF THE ORDINARY SESSIONS OF THE ASSEMBLY The Assembly: 1. RECALLS the provisions of Article 6.3 of the Constitutive Act which stipulates that the Assembly shall meet in Ordinary Session at least once a year; 2. FURTHER RECALLS the provisions of Rule 7 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly; 3. AWARE of the increasing responsibilities of the Assembly in addressing the challenges facing the Continent; 4. DECIDES that the Assembly shall meet twice a year in Ordinary Session.
