AHG/Res. 81 (XIII) RESOLUTION ON THE CONVENING OF THE EXTRAORDINARY SUMMIT ON THE QUESTION OF WESTERN SAHARA The Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African Unity, meeting in its Thirteenth Ordinary Session at Port Louis, Mauritius, from 2nd to 6th July 1976, Recalling the relevant resolutions of the OAU Liberation Committee and of the council of Ministers on the subject of Western Sahara; Recalling in particular its affirmation of the sacred principle of selfdetermination; 1. Calls on all interested parties concerned including the people of Western Sahara to co-operate in finding a peaceful solution to the dispute, in the interest of peace, justice and good neighborliness in the region, and in keeping the Charter of the OAU and of the Untied Nations; 2. DECIDES to hold an extraordinary session at summit level with the participation of the people of Western Sahara with a view to finding a lasting and just solution to the problem of Western Sahara.
