Assembly/AU/Dec.19(II) Page 1 DECISION ON THE DRAFT PROTOCOL TO THE AFRICAN CHARTER ON HUMAN AND PEOPLES’ RIGHTS RELATING TO THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN The Assembly: 1. TAKES NOTE of the recommendations of the Executive Council; 2. ADOPTS the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights relating to the Rights of Women; 3. APPEALS to all Member States to sign and ratify this important instrument in order to ensure its speedy entry into force.
