Assembly/AU/Dec.141 (VIII) Page 2 7. AFFIRMS that the vast majority of the peoples of Africa are indigenous to the African Continent; 8. DECIDES to maintain a united position in the negotiations on amending the Declaration and constructively work alongside other Member States of the United Nations in finding solutions to the concerns of African States; 9. MANDATES the African Group at the United Nations in New York to continue to ensure that Africa’s interests in this matter are safeguarded; 10. ALSO DECIDES to remain seized of the matter.
