Assembly/AU/Dec.530(XXIII) Page 1 DECISION ON THE REPORT OF THE HIGH LEVEL COMMITTEE ON THE POST-2015 DEVELOPMENT AGENDA Doc. Assembly/AU/12(XXIII) The Assembly, 1. TAKES NOTE and ADOPTS the Report of the Chair of the High Level Committee (HLC) on the Post-2015 Development Agenda; 2. ALSO TAKES NOTE of the Strategy for Advocacy and Negotiation, and REQUESTS the HLC to adopt it after further consultations with the African Permanent Representatives in New York; 3. COMMENDS Heads of State and Government and members of the HLC for their commitment, dedication and leadership in crafting the Common African Position (CAP) out of the aspirations of the African people and embarking on advocacy, negotiation and promotional activities; 4. REQUESTS all Member States and other African stakeholders to champion and support the CAP and speak with one voice during the discussions at the UN General Assembly and any other relevant fora; 5. FURTHER REQUESTS the HLC to also explore the emerging issues of accountability and how to align it with the CAP framework to ensure consistency.
