TAKES NOTE of the Executive Council recommendation contained in its Decision EX.CL/Dec.707(XXI) on the Protocol to the Constitutive Act of the African Union Relating to the Pan-African Parliament; 2. DECIDES that more in-depth consultations should be undertaken on the Draft Protocol to the Constitutive Act of the African Union Relating to the Pan-African Parliament with respect to its Articles 8.1(a) and 8.2 on legislative and oversight powers, which should be deferred to a later date for consideration taking into account the progress accomplished in the integration process.
